First time eating here, food and service was very good; from the bar to the dining area, everyone was friendly, accommodating and very attentive. Jalapeno and crab sushi was awesome with a crusty outer coating. Please try if you like tasty with a kick. I may return for a togo order of sushi, but the cleanliness was less than desirable. The dining area is dated and could use some hot water and about a gallon of degreaser...

I've been going here for years. The food is fabulous. Just don't sit at the bar for lunch. It's never staffed and the wait is horrendous. Would love to see them improve the wine selection. Sutter Home and Yellow Tail just doesn't cut it. Other than that, yum!

It's called Hibachi here and teppenyaki at home. Go figure! They have a huge grill where they cook up your food in front of you. The chef's sometime miss, which pleases my inner evil wench. The food is totally edible, the sushi is also rather nice too. I'm not sold on the miso soup as at home miso basically means that there is nothing in it apart from some seaweed, shallots and tofu. So I was a bit confused by what I was given as it wasn't what I knew as miso. Let's blame the country difference on that one! Otherwise the food was great, huge huge serves though! I had to be rolled out of this place and literally into the car. Be aware that it can get a bit xxxy though, being that for 2 people we ended up paying $70 for our dinner. I was a bit surprised by this price as we only had 2 dishes and a shared sushi. Maybe they were charging extra for the rice and whatever else, I didn't really take notice due to being so full I just wanted to get home and lie down to die a peaceful death. I may have groaned all the way home about my Japanese food baby too.

Not great for large parties, they put us in a hallway in the back and you couldnt hear anything. The acoustics are terrible. We had a party of 20 during the Holidays this shouldn't be suprising, but we had one waiter who promptly warned us that our food may be cold. As for the food it's pretty standard fair, the sushi at the Kroger down the road is much better.

I have driven past this restaurant several times; however, never visited because the outside looked pretty crappy... but I'm glad I took a chance! The interior looks great, clean, and well kept. I was immediately greeted and taken to a table. Within minutes, a server came and got our drinks and we were ready to order. Usually at a hibachi restaurant, they try to fill up your table before the chef cooks for the table but despite the fact that my party of 4 were the only people at the table, the order was put in right away, and I did not have to wait for others to come to the table, which I thought was great! There was not a delay in waiting for other parties, which I appreciated because I was hungry! The prices are very well priced especially given the fact that I went during dinner time. I really have nothing bad to say about the place. The service was great, he was always around and I never had to ask for a refill because he already took care of it. I was extremely hesitant to go visit this place due to the negative reviews about the restaurant. It's really not that bad! I have visited numerous hibachi restaurants and it met my needs and I left happy and full!

My boyfriend and I have never tried the teppanyaki part of the restaurant, only the bar/sushi side, but we love it! From day one we have considered this place a random gem. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is quite nice. I have also never had any issues with any of the bartenders or waiters/waitresses, they have all been extremely nice, checked in often, and even accommodated us about re-seating when I was too cold in a section. The food tastes great, they have some really good drink specials, and overall the atmosphere has been wonderful each and every visit.

Simply awful!! Awful service from our waitress & chef. They charge extra for fried rice. Their Mizo soup is chicken broth with scallions, they charge extra for real Mizo, and there was no appetizer shrimp which is standard for Japanese restaurants. We will not be back!

I usually eat in the bar here so I can have a table to myself. The old building on Washington St was better for the layout of rooms and authenticity. You can really tell this building was once a Pizzeria Uno

Nice place for good Asian food. When visiting with small parties, I normally order from the sushi bar. They are always willing to make the sushi with the ingredients I prefer. Good place to frequent!

Very good food and service with a mediocre to non existent show. If you just want good food this is definitely a good pick, if you are wanting to be entertained then you will be better served by going elsewhere. Overall I really liked this place.
